Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain a fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts and related equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure safe operation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with ASE certifications and CDL preferred. Tools, duty documentation, and safety compliance are part of daily work with opportunities for tuition reimbursement and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year vehicle maintenance experience or related certificate/apprentice program.
• A.S.E. Master Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts and related equipment.
• Conducts basic diagnostics and adjusts equipment for safe operation.
• Works with teammates on maintenance and repairs.
• Documents maintenance in reports, written and electronic.
• Performs safety inspections and reports results.
• Performs paint and body work as required.
• Complies with laws, regulations, and company policies.
