Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. The role leverages heavy equipment experience or diesel mechanic education to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.

Responsibilities include safe operation, accurate documentation, and teamwork with other technicians. The job offers pay from $30.70 per hour plus benefits and opportunities for ASE certification advancement.

Qualifications

• One year vehicle maintenance experience or completion of related certificate.
• ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment.
• Execute basic diagnostics and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Document maintenance and complete reports in writing and electronically.
• Inspect safety and perform required safety checks and paint/body work as needed.
• Collaborate with technicians to complete repairs and adhere to policies.
