Job summary

Sysco Raleigh, LLC is seeking an Apprentice Fleet Technician to learn preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of fleet vehicles. You will work under the guidance of senior technicians to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency across the fleet.

The role offers training in inspections (FAI/CVI), diagnostics, and repair, with opportunities to gain certifications and advance within a stable, growth-focused company.

Qualifications

• Apprentice will own and provide all tools (diagnostic equipment and major tools provided by Sysco).
• Annual Inspector Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Preferred, Not Required)
• Brake Inspector Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Preferred, Not Required)
• ASE certifications – Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks (Preferred, Not Required)
• 609 HVAC Certification (Preferred, Not Required)
• Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs
• Apprentice will be required to complete Sysco SIU training modules for safety and other required courses.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform required inspections and preventive maintenance under guidance.
• Learn to perform FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles under supervision.
• Follow state and local regulations for inspections and maintenance.
• Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on tractors, trailers, and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair issues to manufacturer specifications.
• Document all work on work orders with proper format.
• Develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs under guidance.
