Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of fleet vehicles and equipment. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and cost efficiency, with opportunities to work on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and weld repairs.

The ideal candidate has heavy truck training, a valid license, and ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current and valid driver's license is required.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances to maximize safety and cost efficiency.
• Perform Annual inspections on all fleet vehicles in accordance with laws and regulations.
• Perform quality maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability.
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups timely and efficiently.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Follow procedures and document all work performed on work orders.
• Learn Sysco computer programs and be proficient in electrical meter testing.
