Job summary

Sysco Raleigh, LLC is seeking a Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician I to assist in preventive maintenance and repairs for our fleet of delivery vehicles. You will learn inspections, diagnostics, and repairs under experienced technicians at Sysco's Raleigh/Selma operation.

The role requires basic knowledge of vehicle systems, welding, and electrical diagnosis, with potential for ASE/ CDL development and shift options. Training pathways lead to increased responsibility and safety-focused work.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year medium/heavy duty truck technical program preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No experience required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Learn to perform Annual FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles.
• Learn to diagnose and repair vehicle systems under guidance of senior techs.
• Document all work performed on work orders with issues and corrections.
• Develop proficiency with Sysco computer programs under supervision.
• Support safety and reliability across the fleet.
