Job summary

Sysco Memphis is seeking an experienced Fleet Technician to maintain and repair a wide range of company vehicles and equipment. You will perform preventive inspections, diagnose faults, and execute repairs to keep the fleet safe and reliable.

The role requires hands-on expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations, and the ability to document work in Sysco systems. Relevant certifications and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles to maximize safety and cost efficiency.
• Perform annual inspections on all fleet vehicles in accordance with laws and frequencies.
• Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections on all fleet equipment.
• Perform quality maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability.
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups timely.
• Diagnose causes and repair engines, transmissions, electrical, brakes, HVAC and more per manufacturer specs.
• Document all work on work orders and learn Sysco computer programs.
• Proficient in electrical meter testing.
• Knowledge of DC low voltage controls and welding.
