Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc in Selma, NC seeks a Fleet Technician Apprentice to learn inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs to keep vehicles safe and reliable. You will work under experienced technicians, progressing toward more complex diagnostics.

The role is full-time with 2nd or 3rd shift options, a shift differential, and an annual boot and tool allowance. No prior experience required; CDL preferred and Sysco training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year tech program for heavy/medium duty trucks preferred.
• No experience required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform inspections and preventive maintenance under guidance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Learn to perform CVI inspections on fleet vehicles according to regulations.
• Learn to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems under supervision.
• Document work orders with accurate details and recommendations.
• Develop proficiency in Sysco computer programs and diagnostic tools.
