Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair the fleet to keep trucks safe and operational. Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:00PM-12:00AM.

You will perform inspections, repairs, fluid changes, and maintenance on electrical and brake systems, and maintain records of work completed. This role requires reading repair manuals and schematics, with experience on heavy trucks preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience reading repair manuals and schematics.
• Experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and diesel engines.
• Knowledge of Lock/Tag Out procedures or ability to learn them.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per company schedules and/or DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform repairs.
• Complete adjustments, repairs, and component replacements to vehicles and related components.
• Check, fill, and/or change fluids and filters.
• Inspect and repair vehicle support systems (electrical, air, brake).
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified.
• Ensure all safety devices are in good working order.
• Maintain records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
