Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. seeks a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to service fleet vehicles on a Monday-Friday schedule from 2pm to 12am. You will diagnose, repair and maintain trucks, perform routine inspections, and ensure safety systems function properly while documenting work and parts usage.

Qualifications

• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or component failure.
• In-depth knowledge of truck components and systems preferred.
• Experience repairing and performing maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per company maintenance schedules and/or from driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs) in accordance with all rules, regulations and policies
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and make necessary repairs
• Complete adjustments, repairs, and component replacements to vehicles, equipment, and related components
• Inspect, repair, and/or overhaul vehicle systems such as electrical, air, and brake systems
• Perform roadside repairs, when qualified, for the type of vehicle operated
• Ensure all safety devices on vehicles are in good working order
• Maintain accurate records (time, maintenance orders, and parts usage) on the computer/tablet
