Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Waverly, OH is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet vehicles. You will inspect electrical, air, and brake systems, perform routine maintenance, and document time and parts usage.

This role requires adherence to safety standards and the ability to work nights, weekends as needed. Ideal candidates have experience with heavy trucks and diesel engines, plus strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or component failure.
• In-depth knowledge of truck components and systems is preferred.
• Experience repairing and performing maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per company schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and make necessary repairs.
• Complete adjustments, repairs, and component replacements to vehicles and related systems.
• Check, fill, and change fluids and filters as needed.
• Inspect and overhaul vehicle electrical, air, and brake systems.
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified.
• Ensure safety devices on vehicles are in good working order.
• Maintain records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
