Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair our fleet to keep trucks safe and on the road.

You’ll work 4pm–4am, Monday–Friday, with opportunities for overtime and responsive service to internal and external customers. Responsibilities include performing repairs per maintenance schedules and DVIRs, diagnosing issues, replacing components, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot vehicle failures.
• In-depth knowledge of truck components and diesel engines preferred.
• Experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per maintenance schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Check, fill, and change fluids and filters.
• Inspect electrical, air, and brake systems.
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified.
• Maintain accurate records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Travel between offices as required.
• Work nights and weekends as needed.
