Job summary

Sysco Foods is seeking a Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles. The role focuses on reducing downtime and maintaining reliability across the fleet, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include diagnostic work, annual inspections, and documentation of all work orders. You will use OEM diagnostic tools, and you must provide your own tools.

Qualifications

• > Must have completed 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• > Current and valid driver’s license.
• > ASE certifications preferred: Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks (Preferred, Not Required)

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles within planned time tolerances.
• Perform annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on all fleet vehicles.
• Perform quality maintenance and repairs to maximize safety and reliability.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, electrical systems, brakes, HVAC, and more.
• Document all work on work orders.
• Learn Sysco computer programs and use diagnostic software.
