Job summary

Sysco Eastern Maryland, LLC is seeking a skilled fleet technician to maintain and repair company vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety and reliability. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs to minimize downtime.

The role requires experience with electrical systems, DOT regulations, and welding, with a focus on accuracy and adherence to standards. 2nd shift is available, and Sysco provides a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and medium/heavy-duty truck training.
• 2-year school plus 1 year experience or 3 years fleet maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate diverse shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Complete annual inspections for tractors, trailers and equipment per regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Document work performed on work orders and learn Sysco systems.
• Utilize diagnostic software and electrical testing tools for repairs.
