Job summary

Sysco Foods is seeking a full-time Fleet Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, reliable vehicles by performing preventive maintenance inspections, repairs, and expert diagnostics to minimize downtime and improve fleet reliability.

The role requires skilled troubleshooting of engines, transmissions, electrical and HVAC systems, with adherence to all regulatory inspections and company procedures. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and own basic tools.

Qualifications

• Two-year school and one year of experience or three years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Perform annual inspections on all fleet vehicles in accordance with federal/state/local requirements.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications (engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Follow procedures and document all work on work orders.
• Learn Sysco computer programs and become proficient in their use.
• Operate electrical meters and perform electrical system diagnostics.
• Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed.
