Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks. You will join a shop that values quality craftsmanship and teamwork, with opportunities to mentor others and lead projects.

The role emphasizes diagnostics, engine work, and staying current with OEM bulletins while supporting a collaborative service team in a high-volume shop environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
• Master Technician certifications in multiple areas preferred.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitutde and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with dealership management and diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Accurately document repairs and diagnostic findings.
• Communicate with Parts and Service teams to ensure repairs stay on schedule.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team when needed.
