Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers in College Park, GA is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks. You will work in our Engine Shop, mentor apprentices, and help lead projects while upholding quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, rebuilds, preventative maintenance, and documenting findings. A CDL is a plus and career growth is emphasized.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
• Master Technician certifications in multiple areas preferred.
• ASe Certifications are a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel and dealership software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Accurately document repairs and diagnostic findings.
• Communicate with Parts and Service teams to ensure repairs stay on schedule.
• Identify additional maintenance or safety concerns for customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership standards.
• Stay current on OEM technical bulletins and industry best practices.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team when needed.
