Job summary

Nextran Corporation is seeking an experienced Diesel Engine Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks in our Engine Shop. You will work with a team of skilled technicians, mentor apprentices, and contribute to continuous career growth within our service network.

Qualification includes 3–5+ years of diesel diagnostics, a high school diploma, and valid licensing. CDL is a plus and ASE/Master Technician certifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
• Master Technician certifications in multiple areas preferred.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn dealership software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Document repairs and diagnostic findings.
• Communicate with Parts and Service teams to keep repairs on schedule.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team.
