Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers is seeking an experienced Diesel Engine Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks in our Engine Shop. You’ll work with top technicians, mentoring teammates and leading projects while advancing your career.

Responsibilities include engine and transmission rebuilds, preventative maintenance, and documenting findings. Strong diagnostic skills and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
• ASE and Master Technician certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Document repairs and diagnostic findings accurately.
• Coordinate with Parts and Service to keep repairs on schedule.
• Mentor apprentices and help lead the team when needed.
