Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks at our Atlanta South shop. You will work with a skilled team, mentor apprentices, and lead projects to ensure quality craftsmanship and timely service.

We value problem solvers with strong mechanical aptitude who can document findings and communicate clearly with Parts and Service.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Document repairs and diagnostic findings accurately.
• Coordinate with Parts and Service to keep repairs on schedule.
• Identify additional maintenance or safety concerns for customers.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Follow manufacturer procedures and dealership standards.
• Stay current on OEM bulletins and best practices.
• Mentor apprentices and help lead the team when needed.
