Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Ohio is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). The RN CAP1 delivers and coordinates nursing care for a defined patient group in an outpatient dialysis setting, under supervision with opportunities for leadership and teaching.

The role involves evaluating patient data, education, safety, and quality improvement within the ESKD care team; travel for training may be required, and CAP requirements must be completed to advance.

Qualifications

• RN candidate with up to 2 years nephrology nursing experience (entry level).
• Licensure and CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in hemodialysis care preferred (3–9 months).

Responsibilities

• Perform assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Coordinate care and delegate tasks to RNs, LVN/LPNs, and PCTs as needed.
• Educate patients and families about treatment and transplant options.
• Administer medications per protocol and document outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement and teamwork with the interdisciplinary group.
