Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse (CAP 1) for Outpatient CAP in Ohio. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis.

You will collaborate with direct care staff, educate patients and families, administer medications, and participate in quality improvement activities. Some CAP requirements must be completed to advance, with occasional travel to training sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years in nephrology nursing.
• Hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments for patients during hemodialysis and document plan of care.
• Collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians to deliver safe care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and self-care.
• Administer medications as prescribed and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Lead and orient new staff as assigned.
