Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 track to join the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate renal care, document findings, and collaborate with the team to ensure safe dialysis delivery.

The role includes patient education, adherence to policy, and progression through CAP requirements. Candidates should be prepared for on-site care delivery in a healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state employed.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Document patient data in the medical record and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment options.
• Direct and provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy for assigned patients.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
• Serve as a resource and participate in staff training and orientation.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing and shipping procedures.
• Update nursing assessments and care plans with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Discuss transplant and modality options with patients.
• Complete CAP requirements to advance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
