Job summary

Dialyze Direct in Virginia is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality dialysis care. The role requires a valid RN license, BLS, and at least 6 months of RN experience, with dialysis exposure preferred; day-shift hours and Monday/Tuesday availability.

You will work independently with minimal supervision, collaborate with nephrologists and facility staff, document data in EMR, assist with labs, and may travel to nearby locations.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• 6 months of RN experience strongly preferred.
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• This is a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, training, and home support as needed.
• Collaborate with Dialyze Direct team, SNF facility reps, and nephrologists.
• Collect and record patient health data during/pre/post hemodialysis treatment.
• Develop and maintain a plan of care to attain outcomes.
• Implement and record interventions in EMR to attain outcomes.
• Perform laboratory collection, processing, and shipping; reschedule labs as needed.
• Perform clerical tasks (filing, inventory, documentation, patient charts).
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude toward patients and staff.
• Occasional travel to nearby locations.
• Medication administration and documentation.

Schedule:

• Part Time-Looking for Monday and Tuesday availability
• Day shift only

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be able to function at a high level with little oversight to provide nursing care, training, and home support (as needed);
• Works collaboratively with Dialyze Direct team members, skilled nursing home facility representatives and dedicated Nephrologists;
• Collects and records relevant patient health data in the course of/pre/post hemodialysis treatment;
• Develops and maintains a plan of care that describes interventions to attain expected outcomes;
• Implements and records interventions to attain expected outcomes in EMR;
• Performs laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures and reschedules missed or inadequate laboratory collections;
• Perform clerical tasks in addition to patient care (i.e., filing, inventory management, admission documentation, creating patient charts, etc.);
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude to all patients and colleagues;
• Occasional travel to other nearby locations; and
• Medication administration and documentation.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• 6 months of RN experience strongly preferred
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association Required); and
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required
• This is a safety sensitive position
