Job summary

Dialyze Direct in Columbus, OH is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse for the day shift to deliver high-quality dialysis care. You will collect data during treatment, coordinate with nephrologists, and develop care plans to meet patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a valid OH RN license, BLS certification, and has 6 months RN experience; dialysis experience is preferred. Expect lifting up to 35 pounds and a safety-sensitive role, with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, training, and home support as needed.

• Implement and record interventions in EMR.
• Perform laboratory collection, processing, and shipping as needed.
• Handle clerical tasks such as filing and chart creation.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward patients and colleagues.
• Occasional travel to nearby locations.
• Administer medications and document procedures.

Schedule

• Full Time
• Day shift only
• Fixed schedule/no on call

Key Responsibilities

• Must be able to function at a high level with little oversight to provide nursing care, training, and home support (as needed);
• Works collaboratively with Dialyze Direct team members, skilled nursing home facility representatives and dedicated Nephrologists;
• Collects and records relevant patient health data in the course of/pre/post hemodialysis treatment;
• Develops and maintains a plan of care that describes interventions to attain expected outcomes;
• Implements and records interventions to attain expected outcomes in EMR;
• Performs laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures and reschedules missed or inadequate laboratory collections;
• Perform clerical tasks in addition to patient care (i.e., filing, inventory management, admission documentation, creating patient charts, etc.);
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude to all patients and colleagues;
• Occasional travel to other nearby locations; and
• Medication administration and documentation.

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• 6 months of RN experience strongly preferred
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience
• In the state of Texas, 6 months of hemodialysis experience within the last 24 months
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association Required); and
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required
• This is a safety sensitive position
