Job summary

Dialyze Direct seeks a registered nurse in Florida to deliver high-quality dialysis care in a fast-paced setting. You will perform comprehensive nursing duties, collect data, and collaborate with physicians and facility staff to manage patient care plans.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS certification, and dialysis experience; travel to nearby locations is required. This is a full-time, on-site position with a fixed schedule and no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• 6 months RN experience strongly preferred.
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience.
• BLS certification required (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, training, and home support with minimal oversight.
• Collaborate with Dialyze Direct team members, nursing home facility representatives, and nephrologists.
• Collect and record patient health data before/during/after hemodialysis.
• Develop and maintain a care plan to achieve outcomes.
• Document interventions in EMR.
• Perform lab collection, processing, and shipping and reschedule missed labs.
• Complete clerical tasks alongside patient care (filing, inventory, admissions, chart creation).
• Maintain positive, respectful attitude toward patients and staff.
• Occasional travel to nearby locations.
• Administer and document medications.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday Schedule
• Full Time
• Fixed schedule/no on call

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be able to function at a high level with little oversight to provide nursing care, training, and home support (as needed);
• Works collaboratively with Dialyze Direct team members, skilled nursing home facility representatives and dedicated Nephrologists;
• Collects and records relevant patient health data in the course of/pre/post hemodialysis treatment;
• Develops and maintains a plan of care that describes interventions to attain expected outcomes;
• Implements and records interventions to attain expected outcomes in EMR;
• Performs laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures and reschedules missed or inadequate laboratory collections;
• Perform clerical tasks in addition to patient care (i.e., filing, inventory management, admission documentation, creating patient charts, etc.);
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude to all patients and colleagues;
• Occasional travel to other nearby locations; and
• Medication administration and documentation.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• 6 months of RN experience strongly preferred
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience
• In the state of Texas, 6 months of hemodialysis experience within the last 24 months
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association Required); and
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required
• This is a safety sensitive position
