Job summary

Dialyze Direct is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for full-time, day shift in Randallstown, MD. The role emphasizes high-quality care, independent judgment, and proactive patient support with occasional travel to nearby locations.

Ideal candidates hold a 2-year degree, RN license, and at least 3 months hemodialysis experience, with 6 months RN experience preferred. BLS certification is required; lifting up to 35 pounds may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Function at a high level with little oversight to provide nursing care, training, and home support as needed.
• Collaborate with Dialyze Direct team members, SNF facility representatives, and nephrologists.
• Collect and record patient health data during dialysis; develop and maintain a plan of care; implement interventions and document in EMR.
• Perform lab collection, processing, and shipping; reschedule missed labs.
• Complete clerical tasks related to patient care; manage inventory and admissions documentation.
• Maintain professional conduct with patients and colleagues.
• Occasionally travel to nearby locations.
• Administer medications and document administration.

Schedule:

• Full Time
• Day shift only
• Fixed schedule/no on call

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be able to function at a high level with little oversight to provide nursing care, training, and home support (as needed);
• Works collaboratively with Dialyze Direct team members, skilled nursing home facility representatives and dedicated Nephrologists;
• Collects and records relevant patient health data in the course of/pre/post hemodialysis treatment;
• Develops and maintains a plan of care that describes interventions to attain expected outcomes;
• Implements and records interventions to attain expected outcomes in EMR;
• Performs laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures and reschedules missed or inadequate laboratory collections;
• Perform clerical tasks in addition to patient care (i.e., filing, inventory management, admission documentation, creating patient charts, etc.);
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude to all patients and colleagues;
• Occasional travel to other nearby locations; and
• Medication administration and documentation.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• 6 months of RN experience strongly preferred
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience
• In the state of Texas, 6 months of hemodialysis experience within the last 24 months
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association Required); and
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required
• This is a safety sensitive position
