Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and eligible for RN licensure.
• Current appropriate state RN licensure and CPR BLS certification.
• Must meet practice requirements in Indiana.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing functions under supervision and with guidance.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and documents in the medical record.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and disease management.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the care team.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithm.
• Participates in staff training and contributes to quality improvement activities.
• Ensures correct laboratory collection procedures and documents results.
