Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Mobile, AL is seeking an entry-level RN CAP1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. The role focuses on coordinating and delivering dialysis care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group.

You will work with the kidney disease health care team, participate in education and quality improvement activities, and may provide staff training.

Qualifications

• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years in nephrology nursing.
• Minimum 9 months RN experience; 12 months preferred.
• 6 months acute dialysis experience preferred.
• Hemodialysis and/or ICU experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active state license and CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to PCTs/LVNs/LPNs under supervision.
• Participate in teaching, leadership functions and quality improvement.
• Perform intradialytic transfusions administration and monitor patient response.
• On-call, night, weekend or holiday coverage as program requires.
• Maintain documentation in patient records and ensure regulatory compliance.
