Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an experienced Outpatient RN CAP 2 in Alabama to join our clinical advancement program. You will assess and coordinate care for patients undergoing hemodialysis, oversee tasks by the care team, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Entry-level RN with 2 years nephrology experience minimum.
• RN CAP 2 indicates progression within CAP.
• Licensure must be active in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for an assigned patient group.
• Coordinate care and delegate tasks to RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Techs.
• Provide education to patients and families.
• Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with proper documentation.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor effectiveness.
• Lead and mentor new staff and complete CAP requirements.
• Ensure proper lab collection, handling and processing.
