Job summary

Outset Medical, Inc. seeks a Field Service Engineer II to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the Tablo Dialysis System at customer facilities and patients’ homes.

You will diagnose issues, apply engineering principles, and ensure optimal performance while collaborating with clinical staff and patients. This role requires extensive US travel, strong communication, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Engineering, Marketing and Sales to support continuous product

Qualifications

• 5+ years field service/industry experience required.
• Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and fluids components.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and own transport until fleet car is provided.
• Ability to manage travel expenses and document service activities.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the United States, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair Tablo Dialysis Systems at customer facilities or patient homes.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and verify system specs.
• Serve as SME on the Tablo product for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide after-hours, holiday, and weekend support as needed.
• Document all service activities and manage parts inventory in ERP.
