Qualifications

• ARRT certification and registration in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• State licensure preferred, depending on location.
• BLS from American Heart Association required at hire for some Mercy locations.
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.
• Experience with Radiology Information System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and lab data; document for licensed practitioners.
• Position and immobilize patient to best demonstrate area of interest.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Perform radiographic procedures using imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verify informed consent and complete pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography; follow aseptic technique.
