Job summary

Mercy Health, Ada Family Medicine, seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging under guidance. You will maintain patient safety, document histories, and ensure accurate imaging procedures with attention to radiation protection.

Required: ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology and state licensure where applicable, plus BLS. Preferred: Associates degree and RIS experience; EPIC EHR and PACS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and ARRT registration (preferred).
• LICENSING: ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• State licensure (preferred/required by state).
• BLS from American Heart Association (required at hire for certain locations).
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred).
• Familiarity with Radiology Information System (RIS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and lab data for imaging referral.
• Positions and immobilizes patient for optimal imaging.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Performs imaging procedures using equipment and accessories.
• Documents pre/post procedure details and ensures informed consent.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopy and radiography.
• Performs timeout as per policy and prepares medications/contrast as prescribed.
