Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist at Westside Urgent Care in Ohio. The role provides diagnostic imaging under licensed supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Requires ARRT certification and state licensure preferred; 1 year radiology experience and BLS; EPIC/EHR and PACS familiarity preferred.

You will perform radiographic procedures, obtain histories, document procedures, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
• Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred)
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• State Licensure (preferred, unless required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for certain Mercy Health locations)

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient's clinical history and appropriate lab work ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
• Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
• Performs radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment, and/or associated accessories to successfully perform procedures.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre and post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures.
• Applies aseptic technique as needed and performs required timeouts.
• Identifies, prepares and/or administers medications/contrast as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
