Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, ME. Under the direction of a Radiologist, you will perform ultrasound procedures for ED and In/Outpatient community members to aid diagnosis and treatment.

Requirements include ARDMS certification (or full registration in a specialty), current BLS, and graduation from an approved School of Sonography. Six months of ultrasound experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent to be eligible for ARDMS registration.
• Current ARDMS certification or full registration in at least one specialty as required.
• Six months of Diagnostic Ultrasound experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Radiologist, perform ultrasound procedures for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.
• Scan for the ED and In/Outpatient community members as part of the diagnostic team.

Summary:

Schedule- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 7:30am-8pm

Will be scanningfor the ED and In/Outpatient community members

Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer role performs ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience to be eligible for registration as a Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
2. License/Certifications: Current American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Certification or full registration in at least one specialty area is expected according to departmental/local health system requirements. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: Six months of Diagnostic Ultrasound experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $37.09to $50.17 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
