Job summary

Maine Medical Center in Sanford, ME seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound studies under a Radiologist. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible applicants, with relocation available for approved offers.

Required ARDMS certification (or full registration in at least one specialty) and current BLS certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days. Six months ultrasound experience preferred. Schedule: Fri-Sun 7:30a-8p at the Sanford Campus.

• Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent to be eligible for ARDMS registration.
• ARDMS Certification or full registration in at least one specialty area is expected.

Summary:

SCHEDULE- Fri-Sun 7:30a-8p, Sanford Campus

Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer role performs ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience to be eligible for registration as a Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
2. License/Certifications: Current American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Certification or full registration in at least one specialty area is expected according to departmental/local health system requirements. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: Six months of Diagnostic Ultrasound experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $37.09to $50.17 per hour.
