Job summary

Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME, is recruiting a Cardiac Sonographer II to join a growing cardiac imaging team. The role emphasizes moderate to complex exams, independent judgment, and recognition of abnormal findings in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualified candidates have ARDMS/CCI, a bachelor's-like credential in cardiac imaging, and at least one year of experience. The position offers a full-time day shift with weekend rotation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent training/experience as Cardiac Sonographer.
• ARDMS or CCI certification in Cardiac Sonography; BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Minimum one year of Cardiac ultrasound experience.
• Performs TEE and/or stress Echocardiograms.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic medical equipment to assist with diagnosis of cardiac conditions while upholding high patient care standards.
• Perform cardiac ultrasound exams and related procedures as part of a 40-hour work week; weekend rotation required.

Responsible for using diagnostic medical equipment to assist with the diagnosis of various cardiac conditions, while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and proficiency with appropriate clinical protocols.

Full Time(40hrs)- Day Shift

Weekend Rotation is Required

Summary: The Cardiac Sonographer II performs moderate complexity exams and procedures, requiring independent judgement and the ability to recognize abnormal findings.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
2. License/Certifications: ARDMS or CCI certification in Cardiac Sonography required. BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: Minimum one year of Cardiac ultrasound experience required.
4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Performs TEE and/or stress Echocardiograms.

The pay range for this position is $40.06 to $54.20 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
