Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a DevOps Software Engineer to join a high-energy team supporting the DIA-NMEC DOMEX Technology Platform. You will build and deploy a modern technology stack within a 10-year program to modernize the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on mission-critical capabilities.

The role requires strong Linux and container/Kubernetes skills, plus GitLab CI/CD experience and ELK familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years with a Master's degree.
• Strong Linux proficiency and hands-on containerization experience.
• Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
• Demonstrated success working in cross-functional engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain a full-stack, containerized microservices architecture.
• Support systems administration, installation, and configuration.
• Promote adoption of DevOps best practices across cross-functional teams.
• Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big-data pipeline on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
• Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and reliability.
• Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features and evolving requirements.
• Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities.
• Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models.
