Job summary

Leidos is seeking a TS/SCI cleared DevOps Software Engineer to join a high-energy team supporting the DOMEX Technology Platform in Bethesda, MD. This role designs, deploys, and maintains a containerized microservices stack and production data pipeline with frequent collaboration across engineering teams.

You will enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation, support scalable infrastructure, and work with Kubernetes, Helm, and related tools to enable ongoing feature deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field with 8+ years’ experience; 6+ years with Master’s.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Strong Linux proficiency and hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes.

Leidos is looking for our next TS/SCIcleared DevOps Software Engineer to join a highenergy team building and deploying a cuttingedge technology stack in support of the DIANMEC (National Media Exploitation Center) DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). This role is part of a 10year program supporting the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) Modernization effort, where you’ll contribute to missioncritical capabilities alongside a collaborative, innovative, and growthoriented team.

While the majority of work is performed onsite at our customer location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible schedule and occasional opportunities for remote work.

Responsibilities

As a DevOps Software Engineer, you’ll help design, deploy, and maintain a fullstack, containerized microservices architecture. You’ll also support systems administration, installation, configuration, and the broader adoption of DevOps best practices across crossfunctional engineering teams. In this fastpaced environment, you’ll collaborate closely with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams.

• Deploy, triage, and maintain a production bigdata pipeline built on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka
• Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and improve reliability
• Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features and evolving requirements
• Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities
• Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage, and related team activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years with a Master’s
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Strong Linux proficiency
• Handson experience with containers and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
• Demonstrated success working in crossfunctional engineering environments

Bonus Points

• Experience operating systems at scale
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Development experience (Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, etc.)
• Experience supporting enterprise or production systems
• Familiarity with:
  • Kafka or other messaging systems (AMQP, JMS)
  • Kubernetes monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)

Pay Range

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
