Job summary

Leidos is hiring a Senior DevOps Software Engineer to drive a containerized microservices stack on the DOMEX Technology Platform in Bethesda, MD. You will lead a DevOps team, own CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across engineering, security, and operations to deliver scalable, reliable platforms.

On-site with flexible schedule and occasional remote work. The role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, Kubernetes expertise, GitLab CI/CD, and strong Agile leadership.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or in Agile software development
• Strong debugging and Linux system administration skills
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD and code quality/coverage reports
• Familiarity with Helm for Kubernetes deployments
• Knowledge of ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and monitoring
• Ability to manage backlogs and participate in SAFe/Agile ceremonies
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps team responsible for design, deployment, and maintenance of microservices architecture
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps scripts for faster, resilient deployments
• Design scalable, redundant infrastructure (physical/virtual)
• Configure Kubernetes deployments using Helm
• Collaborate with systems engineers to design features
• Provide input to architecture docs and diagrams
• Own and prioritize Agile team backlog and program increments
• Support PI planning and Agile ceremonies
• Monitor progress and resolve dependencies and risks
• Ensure completed work meets business requirements and quality standards
• Communicate priorities and product goals with stakeholders
