Job summary

Lukos seeks a Social Worker / Custody and Removal Coordinator in Basile, LA to support ICE detainees and detention staff. The role focuses on trauma-informed care, victim services, and coordination of resources within detention settings.

Responsibilities include assisting with detainee needs, facilitating family communications, arranging accommodations, and contributing to release/removal planning. Requires bilingual English/Spanish and relevant social work experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and oral).
• Master's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist detained noncitizens with needs and requests.
• Support ERO and detention facility staff on parent/child communication and child welfare concerns.
• Coordinate disability accommodations and follow-up with detention facilities.
• Provide language interpretation for facility and ERO staff.
• Develop and maintain a national resource database for CRC/ERO.
• Assist with release and removal planning for vulnerable individuals.
