Lukos seeks a Social Work/Custody and Removal Coordinator to support ICE ERO staff and detention facilities in Richwood, LA. The role emphasizes safeguarding detainee welfare, coordinating accommodations, and facilitating staff-detainee communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent (accredited).
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
• Ability to utilize interpreter/translation services as needed.
• Adaptability to changing schedules.
• Strong English communication (verbal and written).
• Ability to build positive relationships in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Experience with electronic health records, web-based training, and communications.
• Knowledge of Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
• PC literacy with standard business software.
• Detention/correctional or residential healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication, project management, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
• Cultural competency; integrity and honesty.
• U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Assist detainees with needs, requests, and complaints.
• Support ERO officers with parent/child communications and welfare.
• Coordinate disability accommodations with facilities.
• Facilitate compliance with agency policies and detention standards.
• Discuss issues with detainees on abuse, pregnancy, housing, and release.
• Address questions about services for specific noncitizens.
• Provide referrals to care and follow-up.
• Support detainees with special needs and conduct wellness checks.
• Meet newly detained individuals during intake and provide orientation.
• Assist housing programs for vulnerable groups.
• Provide language interpretation for staff and detainees.
• Support facility safety and security.
• Assist in removal planning and departure plans.
• Assist in release planning and securing resources.
• Develop and maintain a national resource database.
