Job summary

Lukos LLC is seeking a Social Worker/Custody and Removal Coordinator in Houston, TX. The role supports ICE detention operations by addressing detainee needs, coordinating services, and assisting with assessments and referrals.

You will work with ERO staff to ensure safety, compliance, and timely communication. The position emphasizes bilingual English/Spanish communication, trauma-informed practice, and coordination across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social work, Psychology, or an equivalent degree.
• Master's degree or an equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assist detained noncitizens with needs, requests, and complaints not related to officer duties.
• Support ERO staff with parent/child communication and child welfare involvement.
• Coordinate disability accommodations with detention facilities and ERO HQ.
• Facilitate discussions and guidance on policy compliance and detention standards.
• Address questions about noncitizens and available services.
• Provide referrals to appropriate staff for care and follow-up to prevent incidents.
• Conduct wellness checks for vulnerable individuals and provide follow-ups.
• Meet newly detained noncitizens to orient them to CRC services and facilities.
• Support specialized housing units and programs for vulnerable populations.
• Provide language interpretation for communication with detained noncitizens.
• Develop and maintain a national resource database for CRC and ERO use.
