Job summary

Cognito LLC, a Planned Systems International (PSI) joint venture, seeks a PRN Behavioral Health Technician to support the ICE Health Services Corps at the T. Don Hutto Detention Center in Taylor, TX.

You will deliver high-quality behavioral health care in a detainee setting, coordinating with a Behavioral Health Provider and maintaining eHR documentation. Requirements include an Associate degree in behavioral science, AAPT level III certification within 12 months, and 2 years of MH clinic or

Qualifications

• Associates degree in behavioral science or related field.
• AAPT Certification level III within 12 months of hire.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.
• Two years of mental health clinic or residential healthcare experience.
• Background check and immunizations current.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health screenings and patient education.
• Assist in crisis management and safety monitoring.
• Coordinate appointments and document in eHR.
• Escort detainees to appointments and maintain records.
• Facilitate psycho-educational groups and individual education.
• Maintain knowledge of behavioral health interventions.
