Job summary

Cognito LLC, a Planned Systems International joint venture, seeks a PRN Behavioral Health Technician to support IHSC at the Montgomery Processing Center in Conroe, TX. The BHT will perform mental health screenings, coordinate care, and assist with psycho-educational groups in a secure facility environment.

Minimum requirements include an associates degree in behavioral science, AAPT level 3 certification within 12 months, BLS/CPR certification, and two years’ mental health clinic experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a behavioral science/speciality field.
• American Heart Association BLS or Red Cross CPR/BLS certification.
• Two years of work experience in a mental health clinic or residential healthcare setting.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen; immunizations up to date.
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written) with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health screenings and patient care management.
• Facilitate basic psycho-educational groups and patient education.
• Coordinate follow-up care and maintain electronic health records.
• Assist in development of behavioral treatment interventions and coping skills.
• Ensure patient safety and monitor behaviors during programming and activities.
