Job summary

Cognito LLC, a Planned Systems International (PSI) joint venture, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support IHSC at the Port Isabel Detention Center in Los Fresnos, TX. You will deliver high-quality behavioral health care and coordinate care under BHP supervision.

Responsibilities include conducting screenings, case management, group activities, and documentation in eHR, with emphasis on safety, patient engagement, and collaboration with a Behavioral Health Provider.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in behavioral science or related field.
• AAPT certification at level 3 within 12 months of hire.
• Current BLS or CPR/BLS certification.
• Two years of mental health clinic or residential healthcare experience.
• Ability to pass background check and immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health screenings and patient care management.
• Coordinate appointments and document in eHR.
• Facilitate basic therapeutic and psycho-educational groups.
• Assist in developing behavioral treatment interventions.
• Chaperone and record vital signs for Tele-Behavioral Health.
