Job summary

Cognito LLC, a Planned Systems International (PSI) joint venture, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support IHSC at the T. Don Hutto Detention Center in Taylor, Texas.

The BHT provides mental health screenings, patient care management, and psycho-educational groups under the Behavioral Health Provider. As a civilian contractor, you will document records in eHR, coordinate care, and assist in crisis management while adhering toIHSC policies and HIPAA/PII requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in behavioral science or related field required.
• AAPT certification level 3 required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health screenings and patient care management.
• Coordinate follow-up care for mental health patients under the direction of BHP.
• Facilitate basic psycho-educational groups and individual patient education.
