Job summary

Cognito LLC, a Planned Systems International joint venture, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support IHSC at the El Paso Processing Center. The role involves mental health screenings, care coordination, and group facilitation to provide safe, high-quality healthcare in ICE custody.

As a civilian contractor, you will work under the supervision of a Behavioral Health Provider, maintain electronic health records, coordinate follow-up care, and participate in ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Associates degree in behavioral science or a related field.
• AAPT Level III certification within 12 months of hire.
• Two years of mental health clinic or residential care experience.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and immunizations.
• Strong communication and cultural sensitivity in diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health screenings and patient care management.
• Facilitate psycho-educational groups and support patient education.
• Coordinate appointments and document in eHR.
• Escort detainees to appointments and monitor safety.
• Maintain IHSC standards and use IHSC EHR.
