Job summary

Compucom is seeking a Desktop Tech III in San Francisco to deliver deskside IT support for hardware/software incidents, primarily onsite for a high-profile client. The role covers device deployment, configuration, and support of printers, RF scanners, and mobile devices, with Smart Hands assistance for network gear.

You will collaborate with the client's IT team on infrastructure projects, maintenance planning, and security compliance, and you may lift up to 25 lbs solo or 50 lbs with assistance

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years IT support experience.
• Experience with Windows 10 and 11.
• Exceptional customer service interfacing with high-profile client executives onsite.
• Excellent time management and reporting skills.
• Laptop/Desktop/Printer hardware and software support and refresh experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Occasionally works at heights of 20’ to 25’, lift equipment training provided.
• Must lift up to 25 lbs solo and 50 lbs with a partner.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a deskside service to the client for support on laptop/desktop hardware/software incidents.
• Deploy, configure, and support mobile devices, printers, RF Scanners, for internal users onsite.
• Provide Smart Hands support related to access points and switches per SOP.
• Assist client IT team with network and infrastructure initiatives.
• Participate in meetings on maintenance, upgrade, inventory, risk assessment, and disaster recovery at the site.
• Take action on non-compliance with security requirements as guided by client IT teams.
• Asset tagging and updating asset database per SOP.
