Job summary

City of Lincoln seeks a Desktop Support Technician in Omaha, NE to deliver first- and second-line support across local and remote environments. You will troubleshoot hardware/software, document incidents, and escalate to maintain SLAs.

Responsibilities include configuring Windows 10/11 and Office 365, supporting macOS, printers, and AV systems, plus MDM for iOS/Android. Requires 18+ months of desktop support and a related degree.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 18+ months of hands-on desktop support or IT help desk experience.
• Experience supporting Windows environments (Windows 10/11).
• CompTIA A+ or MCP/M365 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level support for hardware, software, and apps via phone, remote tools, and on-site.
• Document incidents and requests in IT ticketing system.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and Office 365.
• Support macOS for Apple devices.
• Assist with AV systems, printers, and network issues.
• Coordinate with vendors for complex AV issues.
• Provide status updates to users and stakeholders.
• Support MDM for iOS and Android devices.
