Job summary

City of Lincoln in Stamford, CT is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide first- and second-level IT support for hardware, software, and enterprise applications. The role covers Windows 10/11, Office 365, and macOS basics with strong focus on incident documentation and SLA adherence.

The technician will install, configure, and troubleshoot devices and peripherals, coordinate with vendors for AV issues, and support MDM across iOS/Android devices in an enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 18+ months in desktop support, help desk, or IT support.
• Certifications preferred: CompTIA A+, MCP/Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and applications.
• Document incidents and service requests in the IT ticketing system.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and Office 365.
• Support macOS where needed and enterprise applications like Cisco Jabber.
• Install and troubleshoot printers, desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Maintain network and workstation health, and manage AV issues with vendors.
• Support mobile device management for iOS and Android devices.
• Communicate status updates to users and stakeholders; meet SLAs.
